Let the summer o’ fun 07 begin!

Filed under: Another day, another way... — Administrator @ 10:45 am

Last year I wrote about all the fun stuff we did all summer. I did it because I want my kids to remember what we did. And I did it because I wanted to remember what we did. I have a very freaky brilliant memory but I also have a very lazy memory. Like, “hey what did you do this week?” Me: just kind of sit there with a blank stare.

Summer o’ fun 06

May 26=Linda took kids overnight. Went to Clear Lake with Mark and the Bottom Dwellers.
June 4=SF outer Richmond area, lunch at Bills Place, Hiking on the coast and Marin Brewing Co.
June 5=Me and Mark went to Hooters
June 11=Stewart-Gast Sunday BBQ Shrimp pitas with hummus and tahini and Sac Brew IPA. Memory: Ella running around in her chonies and Ollie running around with only shorts and no shirt and bright orange popsicle juice staining his chest.
June13=Mark gets interviewed for fabulous job and offered basically on the spot. We celebrate by strolling to Steves Pizza and enjoying good kids and pizza on the patio with unusually chilly summer evening.
June 14=Cocktails and Facials with Lyn doing facials and Carol, Suzanne, Heidi and Jenny as my cocktail companions. Lots of yummy treats to eat.
June 17=Took kids to see Cars at the State Theatre with Gwanga

July 2=Lazy Sunday later to the Stewart-Gast Sunday BBQ with falafel turkey burgers, pasta salad and yellow watermelon.
July 3=Lazy Monday but had impromtu bbq with the Krauses with yummy bbq chicken, beans, garlic bread and watermelon. Memory: Ella, Ollie and Hayden playing out front in the kiddy pool, riding big wheels   and painting on the driveway.
July 4=Fourth of July! Went to Freeman Park to the “Family Fun Fest” watched the kids in the bouncy house and play in the playground. Ate hotdogs and sodas then headed to the senior center for the icecream social. Later to Dave and Heidis for 4th party with lots of bbq burgers, yummy eats and lots of swimming with the kids. Also had them over to our house on the 23rd for a camp breakfast. Very very hot weekend! Over 105 for about a week straight!
July 28-30=Mark and band gone all weekend, but I had the best time with the kids. Very minimal fighting and yelling. Very easy. Loved it! Farmers market, made cookies, played in dirty backyard, made Ellas favorite dinner of orange chicken.
Aug. 9=Lasik seminar!
