The other day we made circus hats! This whole month is a circus theme in their home school program and we are very lucky that the circus is coming to town. We will be taking the kids to their first circus on Saturday. And it is my first circus also.

Today was our first day at Music Together.
When I got home, I ichatted with Mark.
me:music together=nightmare!
mark:NOOOOOO!
Why?!
me:the program itself was fantastic, cute, fun ect…
our kids on the otherhand….
Ella put her head down the whole time and tried to hide behind her hands or me.
Ollie walked or crawled around the whole time ramming into other kids, throwing intruments, or hitting kids.
mark:I guess that’s why they have a practice class.
Ollie is a true punk rocker.
me:my face got more red as the class went on and i teared up a few times out of frustration.
the last 5 or so minutes of class i could not take ollie no more and got all of us out of there barefoot and all.
mark:Home school, I guess.

Or after dinner music class.
me:im gonna keep taking them and if i need to pull them out early i will. i have to keep trying. they need social skills!
mark:Yeah.
Music is the ultimate social challenge, too.
me:whats funny is that it is a totally free form class and she does not expect the kids to sit still and is ok with them walking around and stuff. but when he keeps raming into other kids its just plain embarrasing!
oh and the davis moms kept looking at me with those inferior mom looks…
mark:Fuck fucking Davis.

me:totally.
My kids were the only ones acting that way and there were tons of kids in the class today. Maybe I should have them drink the water in Davis before we go. In a way it was kind of Stepford freaky. Oh Im still stressed from the class and a little angry. Gah!

This is what I have been doing lately. Im home schooling my kids with a pretty cool and simple preschool program. Here they are painting with string. Next week they start Music Together.
Today we went to the library program where Ella sat there like a frozen little deer in headlights and Ollie ran all over the library. Good times!

I made it one last time to the State Fair. This time with Stephan .
Mark was home with some sort of food poisoning, and the kids were overnight with my mom. I had tixs for the fair that I bought a month prior and didn’t want to waste them, so Stephan was nice enough to keep me company. My one thing I had to eat this round, deep fried avacados. They were good, but I don’t think I would get them again.
