My husband and his band The Bottom Dwellers, www.bottomdwellersmusic.com frequetly play at Ludys in Woodland. That said…My 2 year old daughter (2!!) Ella took my husbands wallet and quietly went into her room. Mark followed and watched what she was doing. Oh course she was pulling everything out of his wallet including his Ludy bucks.
Ella runs to me..
Ella: (holding up a ludy buck) look mommy a pig
Me: thats right!
Ella: Its a Ludy pig huh.
Me: Yeah!
She is to smart I tell ya!
I made a pact with myself that I would not eat sugar Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, except for the little sugar I might sprinkle on my cherios or except for the little tiny bit of sugar I might sprinkle in my tea. I already made a pact that I would not drink alcohol on those days as well. I do pretty good without the alcohol, but the sugar!!!! I can’t stop thinking about it. But I did good and I was hoping that I would not eat double the amount of sugar on Friday. Well, to late, I ate 11 or was it 12 Rollos already. But I did just do 60 situps so that makes it all okay!
A few months ago I was getting ready to pick up the kids from Grandmas house. I had parked on the street since Mark and I were cleaning out the garage. I got in my car, backed up a little and BANG! I hit my across the street neighbors corvette. I got out, told the neighbor and he said it was totally fine, he could buff it out ect…I bought him a case of Coors light to thank him for my reckless driving skills. Well today as I am sitting here drinking tea and reading my US magazine and catching up on Brad and Jenn, I notice him across the street with some guy. They are both looking at the Vet and looking at the the front and it appears his arms are sort of swinging around madly. They look all around the car, and discussing whatever it is. Im scared! My neighbor finally got mad, and he is going to sue me! I will let you know when you can start depositing money in my paypal account so that I can pay for the damages.
Oh so yum. Thanks to my sis for taking my kids so that Mark and I could enjoy Mukunis on Monday! Eating at Mukunis is like Christmas morning to me!
Hi All,
Since I had the urge to write, I thought I would and make you all read. Please delete now if you are not in anyway interested in my ramblings.
So for the past two weeks I wanted to go to the snow and go sledding. I thought it would be really great to get the kids out of the house since it has been so grey and depressing here. We were experiencing a little cabin fever. In anticipation of going to the snow, the day before we put shoes on Ollie for the first time! See pictures below…
Ollie thought it was pretty cool to have these shoes on. He giggled the whole time they were on. So with my romantic views in tow i.e.: hot chocolate packed in a thermos, sleds, camera ready for lots of pics in the snow, non stop laughter, a big hearty lunch and lots of dry warm clothes for after the snow, we headed into the mountains up 50 to Echo Summit. Wow was it pretty! Lots of sun, in fact the sun came out as we drove up the hill into El Dorado and the first thing we see is a church. God Bless America! So finally we reach Echo Summit get the sleds out, and tote the children into a good play area. Only 1 minute into the snow, Ella starts crying her little eyes out. Oh she will love it once we get a good spot. Ella is still crying her little eyes out. Oh, she will love it once we get up the hill and slide down. She didn’t cry but once we got down, she started crying again. So, I leave her to snuggle with daddy while I tote Ollie and sled up the hill- twice, lots of fun! Okay, so it is time to call it quits. We go back to the car and unpack lunch, and the kids had the most fun in the car eating lunch. See pics below……
Oh…we lost one of Ollies converse on the hill. Sorry Molly & Nigel, your new little boy will not be wearing cute blue converse that you originally handed down to us from Olallie. If anyone sees a lonely & cute blue size 5 converse, please return to me.
You can kind of see some white snow in the back ground….
Okay, so lets go home, wait, it is so nice out with the sun, lets go into Placerville. The weather was soooooo nice. It was like 60 or 70 out. We walk around and decide to go get smoothies and beers at this cute little place that we neglected to take pictures of. Go there if you can because if you keep walking back back back it is like being in a old mining cave, well actually it is. And there is water leaking down the walls and everything. Ella loved it but she did not love her peach smoothie that she only had about 3 sips up. Ollie spilled his smoothie on the nice rug while just moments before mom spilled her beer that she only took 2 sips of and she broke the glass (on the nice rug) . And then the nice waitress gives me a new one, and about 5 sips into it, Ollie moved the table a little to hard and spilled it all over the table and the nice rug. Okay, lets go!
So if we were to go back to Placerville without kids, we would go here for a drink. We would also go to this place around the corner called ZPies which makes “gourmet” pot pies. They sounded delicious. Oh and if we go back with kids, we would go to this state park again that we drove through where there were lots of pretty trails and you could pan for gold. And eat a picnic lunch or just bring some zpies!
Well the Eagletons tried a family adventure and it was indeed an adventure. Will try to go to the snow again next year, maybe Ella will laugh this time rather than cry. Let me tell you future families, it is tough doing stuff with the kids, or maybe it is just us. If it is just us, please give us some tips! Okay, so that is my unofficial blog entry for the week.
xx
Kristyn
